Purple is the all-rounder for everything except wee. The 3am hairball you find by stepping on it. The muddy paws across the rug. The bowl that got knocked over. The drool patch on the couch arm. Spray it on the spot, or dilute it 1:10 and run a whole room through your carpet machine.
Why the patch looks clean and still smells
Most organic mess goes deeper than it looks. Surface cleaning lifts the top layer and leaves the rest in the pile and the backing, which is where the smell lives. Purple is built to go after what is left underneath, not just the part you can see.
How the Purple bottle works
Purple is a natural, higher-strength multi-enzyme formula. The enzymes digest organic mess deep in the fibres, lifting the stain and breaking down the odour at the source instead of masking it. It dries to a clean, just-cleaned scent rather than a perfume.
Organic mess means the things pets produce and drag in: vomit, hairballs, drool, poo, mud, food and drink. It also handles household stains on the same surfaces, such as coffee, juice and grease.
Made for your carpet machine
This is where Purple earns its keep on a whole room. It is low-foaming and soap-free, and it dilutes 1:10 in the tank, one part Purple to ten parts water. At that rate the enzymes work deep in the pile while the machine extracts, so the ground-in mess comes up with the water instead of staying down in the backing.
It suits an upright deep cleaner, a shampooer or an extractor. Four things worth knowing before you fill the tank:
- Pre-treat the worst spots first. Spray them undiluted, leave it 2 to 5 minutes, then run the machine over the room.
- Warm water, not hot. Heat destroys enzyme power, so skip the steam or hot-water setting. Cold or warm-to-the-touch keeps the enzymes working in the carpet after the pass.
- Run it on its own. No bleach or strong cleaners in the tank alongside it.
- It goes a long way. At 1:10 the 500 mL bottle makes up to 5.5 litres of machine solution, and the 2 L refill makes over 20 litres.
Patch-test a hidden spot first, and keep pets and kids off the carpet until it is dry.
Or straight from the bottle
For spots and spills, spray it undiluted, let it work for 2 to 5 minutes, then blot with a cloth. Most messes come out in one go. Older, set-in stains may need a repeat, and we would rather say so up front. On a really dirty, high-traffic room, do both: spray the spots, then run the machine over the lot.

What it is made without
Purple is a plant-based enzyme formula, biodegradable, soap-free, and made without bleach, chlorine or phosphates. Used as directed it is safe around pets and family.
What it won't do
Urine is a different problem. Wee leaves uric-acid crystals that need a specialist, so for wee and marking, start with the Yellow bottle. And if the room is clean and just smells, that is a job for the Pink bottle, not an enzyme.
